ISTRI RAIB SECARA GAIB

“Pak Cik, Pak Cik, Mak Cik datang di Ulu Batang!” teriak Rina, ponakanku dari rumah sebelah. Mak Cik yang dimaksudkan tidak lain dari Indah Suciati, istriku yang menghilang sejak lima tahun yang lalu. Mendengar dia datang, aku langsung menghambur ke Ulu Batang. Ulu Batang adalah daerah hutan sebelah timur dari tempat pemandian daerah kami, daerah Sungai Ogan, 60 mil laut tenggara kota Palembang.

Rina menarik tanganku untuk memasuki kawasan hutan lebat dengan kayu Tembesu di dalamnya. Tapi sesampainya di tempat yang dimaksud, ternyata istriku itu tidak kelihatan. “Tadinya di sini Pak Cik, aku lihat dengan mata kepala sendiri, Mak Cik berdiri di situ. Aku berusaha mengajaknya ke rumah, tapi diam saja Pak Cik. Sumpah, Mak Cik ada di bawah pohon Tembesu itu!” kata Indah, terbata-bata.

Rina memang tidak pernah berbohong. Ponakanku itu selalu berkata benar dan jujur. Aku yakin dia benar-benar melihat sosok istriku yang sudah ditahlilkan dan dianggap mati lima tahun yang lalu itu. Cuma ada hal yang mengganjal batinku, saat berkata begitu Rina sedang demam tinggi. Dia menderita radang tenggorokan dan suhu badannya sempai 30 derajat celsius lebih. Karena panas tinggi itu, barangkali membuat Rina halusinansi, melihat sesuatu yang tak ada menjadi ada. “Kau sedang sakit, kau mungkin mengigau, Rina” bujukku, sambil menggandeng Rina kembali ke rumahnya.

Sesampainya di rumah, pikiranku kembali melayang pada sosok Indah Suciati. Indah raib saat dia pergi buang hajat ke Sungai Ogan, 100 meter dari rumah kami. Waktu itu tanggal l8 Januari I995, hari Kamis Pon pukul 23,00 tengah malam. Karena perutnya sakit dan ingin buang hajat, Indah minta padaku agar aku mengantarkannya malam itu ke Batang, tempat mandi dan buang hajat di Sungai Ogan. Karena mataku sangat ngantuk dan tubuhku lemas, aku hanya memberikan senter pada Indah agar dia pergi sendirian ke sungai.

Setelah kuberikan senter, Indah pergi sendiri. Sementara aku tertidur lelap hingga subuh hari. Begitu terbangun oleh adzan dan akan sholat, aku dikagetkan oleh tidak adanya Indah di sebelahku tidur. “Kemana Indah?” tanyaku dalam hati. Karena tidak ada orang lain di rumah kami, sementara kami tak punya anak, maka aku segera menghambur ke sungai. Tapi di tempat Indah buang hajat itu, sepi sunyi, tak ada seorangpun di batang itu. Jangankan ada senter atau pakaian yang tertinggal, bekas-bekas orang buang hajatpun, tak nampak di situ. Rasa penasaranpun meyergap batinku. Jantungku mulai goyah dan otakku terputar-putar pada sesuatu yang musykil. Pikirku, jangan-jangan Indah marah kepadaku lalu pergi ke rumah orangtuanya di kampung seberang, 10 mil dari rumah kami. Habis sholat subuh aku segera ke rumah mertuaku, kupikir Indah ngambek lalu ke rumah orangtuanya.

Di rumah mertuaku Indah pun tidak ada. Di cari ke mana-mana juga tidak ada. Maka tak ayal, akupun segera melaporkan menghilangnya Indah itu ke Polisi Sektor Indrajaya. Kapten polisi Harnowo langsung memerintahkan anak buahnya untuk menyisir Sungai Ogan. Mungkin saja istriku itu jatuh lalu hanyut dan mati di dasar sungai. Tim SAR dari kota Palembang pun dilibatkan, namun Indah tidak ditemukan juga.

“Jangan-jangan Indah tenggelam lalu diseret buaya hitam dan tubuhnya sudah hancur di dalam mulut buaya hitam” Kata Pak Satari, lurah desa Jenggala, kampung kami yang ikut prihatin atas hilangnya Indah Suciati. Apa yang dikatakan oleh Pak Satari diyakini oleh banyak warga sebagai sesuatu yang mendekati kebenaran. Warga percaya istriku itu dimakan buaya dan tubuhnya sudah habis ditelan masuk ke dalam perut binatang predator itu.

Maka besoknya, pengerahan penduduk untuk menangkap buaya pun, dilakukan. Seeker buaya besar berukuran panjang 8 meter ditangkap. Perutnya dipotong tengah dan dicari kemungkinan tubuh istriku ada di dalam tubuh buaya raksasa itu. Setelah perut buaya itu terbuka, hanya ikan-ikan patin, ikan gabus dan burung bebek yang ada di dalam sana.

Di dalam perut buaya besar itu, tidak terdapat satupun bukti yang menunjukkan bahwa ada manusia yang ditelannya. Dengan begitu, Indah Sumati tidak ada di dalam perut buaya itu. “Apakah semua buaya akan kita bunuh dan perutnya dibuka?‘ tanya pak Kaposek pada lak lurah. Perburuan pada buaya yang tak bersalah Itu pun, dihentikan. Tapi muncul analisa baru, yang menyangkut eksistensi hantu yang dalam bahaya daerah setempat sebagai ‘Antu Ayo”. Mungkin Indah ditawan oleh Antu Ayo, dibawa ke barat sungal, bisa-bisa masuk ke sungal besar yaitu Sungai Musi dan Batanghari di Palembang!” ungkap Ki Landung Pae, 65 tahun, paranormal yang ahli menangkap hantu dan jin liar di daerah hutan Prabumulih. “Tapi jangan harap Indah masih hidup. Dia sudah mati dan tinggal bangkainya yang harus kita temukan sekarang! Mayat istrimu itu harus kita dapatkan dan harus kita kubur!” tambah Ki Landung padaku.

Setelah mengeluarkan uang yang dibutuhkan untuk ritual pencarian mayat, Ki Landung pun dengan timnya bekerja. Mereka menyusuri Sungai Batanghari, Sungai Ogan dan Sungai Musi. Selama 10 hari mereka kerja dan tidak menemukan apa-apa, pencarian pun dihentikan. Ki Landung menyerah dan minta kami membuat tahlilan dan menganggap lndah meninggal. Bersama para ulama dan kyai setempat, kami langsung meritual lndah sebagai sosok yang telah meninggal dengan mengirim doa pada arwah dan tahlil 40 hari hingga ke 100 hari sebagaimana mestinya. Akupun, telah ikhlas dan rela akan kepergian Indah dan menganggapnya meninggal dunia. Karena cintaku yang begitu dalam padanya, maka akupun tidak lagi berniat menikah. Aku bertekad untuk tetap sendiri dan tak mau mencari wanita lain pengganti Indah.

Lima tahun lndah meninggal, tanggal 18 Januari tahun 2000 lalu, datanglah kasus aneh yang menyatakan bahwa Indah masih hidup. Setelah Rina melihat sosok lndah, Nasrun juga melihat. Apa yang dilihat Nasrun sama persis dengan apa yang dilihat oleh Rina. bahwa isteriku itu muncul di bawah pohon Tembesu dengan baju kebaya warna merah. Rina pun melihat sosok itu berkebaya merah dan selendang hitam. “Aku melihatnya berdiri di bawah pohon tembesu itu, diam dan tidak bicara apa-apa. Matanya hanya melihat kepadaku dan tangannya bergerak memanggil. Setelah aku mendekat. tiba-tiba Ibu Indah menghilang tidak tahu ke mana!” kata Nasrun. Selain Nasrun, Amir juga melihat. Apa yang dilihat sama persis dengan apa yang dilihat oleh Rina dan Nasrun. “Dia masih hidup karena aku melihat dia melambai-lambaikan tangannya padaku!” terang Amir.

Hari itu juga Indah dimandikan air suci oleh Kiayi Pamungkas agar dia hidup normal. Semuanya berjalan dengan cepat dan akurat. Indah bisa mengenaliku dan bisa berbicara normal.

Tapi sejak peristiwa mistis yang terjadi pada kami di tengah malam itu, hingga sekarang Kyai Pamungkas melarang siapapun wanita kampung kami pergi sendiri ke Sungai Ogan. “Yang ditakutkan bukan buaya dan bukan Antu Ayo, tapi Siluman Macan Putih yang keramat itu” kata Kyai Pamungkas.

Kami bersujud syukur dan terus meneruskan berdoa dan berterima kasih pada Allah tentang kembalinya Indah ke dunia nyata. Kata Kyai Pamungkas, bila sampai 5 tahun Iebih tidak diselamatkan, Indah akan menjadi budak Siluman Macan Putih dan dia jadi penghuni dunia lain, dunia keramat di bawah pohon Tembesu itu.
